Sneaking Veggies into My Toddler’s Meals…
Every stage of childhood (and consequently, parenthood) comes with a new set a of challenges. My daughter has been a great eater since birth. She tried anything we gave her and ate with relish. Even more satisfying as she grew to love solid foods, was her love of anything green…(you should have seen my grandmother squeal with delight as she watched her great-grand-daughter devour her famous broccoli rabe!)
Now, as my toddler gets older (ripe old age of 2 1/2), more vocal and worse, more opinionated, getting her to eat anything remotely healthy requires the tenacity of a sherpa. Not one to submit to her challenges, I have since introduced a few tricks to sneak veggies into her favorite foods.
